Internship between A Levels and Uni

I'm currently in Sixth Form in the UK sitting my A Levels next summer. I'm applying to university, but I'm also considering taking a gap year before, but only if I can line up work.

I'm aiming for a career in IB, but my first though is that most firms mainly recruit undergrads for these kinds of roles. So, how realistic is it to get an internship between A Levels and university. And suppose I did manage to land a role, would you recommend taking it or going to uni?

Also, slightly separate but related to the question. I am stuck between choosing two courses at LSE which are BSc Economic and Economic History or BSc Management

If anyone has an insight on which one is better for breaking into IB that would be super helpful.

Cheers.

at LSE and if you are not academically gifted take Management but or else Econ and Econ History as it will be more stimulating and generally a better experience.

Management kids get internships because they have nothing else to do but they are barely competent and you can see it as only diversity gets internships. Also just a conversation with them makes you doubt your university icl

fair enough. idk about how hard EH is, i'm in a STEM based course myself. From what I have heard Metrics is tough too because you do the same module as Maths and Stats departments and we obviously have a higher level of Stats and so it is hard for people who are just used to qualitative stuff.

On that note though, Management kids literally have a separate easy af metrics that is apparently piss
