Is a double major worth it?

Planning to go to SMU Cox which is a target if your in alts for Texas banks and some pull to NYC. I’m going to major in finance, but was wondering if doing a double major is worth it. Should I just focus on grades and networking? Or will I be more favorable with a double?

Neither a double major or a minor is worth it. Major in finance and take the easiest electives possible. Free up time for important things like relevant extracurriculars, finding fr/so summer internships to set yourself up for recruiting and then ofc tech/behavioral prep. Your accounting minor won’t mean anything if you spend all your time working on a hard accounting class sophomore spring instead of studying techs and doing mock interviews and networking while taking an easy non time intensive elective.
