Is an MBA worth it if I have a degree in Computer Science (career change)?

Is it worth enrolling in a top 5 MBA program with a degree in CS? My goal is to change my software engineering job and break into either IB, consulting, or VC. I also wouldn't mind getting a managerial position at a top tech company.

What I'm worried about is the fact that more and more top MBA graduates are not getting high paying jobs after graduation (from what I've been hearing). Could anyone enlighten me on the job prospects/salaries for top MBAs?

1) If you want to work in any of the fields you listed (IB, consulting, VC), attending a top MBA program will probably be your best bet.

2) If you end up working in any of the aforementioned jobs, you will be making good money. Use the search function to see what post-MBA IB and consulting positions pay (they're pretty standardized). If you're lucky enough to get into some sort of VC role, the pay can/will vary a good deal.

Did you just decide you wanted a prestigious, high paying job and then list them?

I think you have a lot of research to do. Search is your best bet.
