A masters in math and a background in entrepreneurship -- why do you want to do banking? The masters is not going to get you very much. Most banks are not going to look at you based on those two qualifications so yes you probably would need an MBA to get in the door but even that is no guarantee of getting a job

 

Don't go into banking, go into structured products or some other derivative field. That's where the math jobs are, and those guys make the same $ as bankers in 1/3 the hours. And the work is more substantive and interesting, and there's no elitism. Forget banking, man. The only thing you might need is a Phd in math instead of just a master's but you can give it a shot.
