Is HBS 2+2 worth it?

High level overview: math major at a target school with a 3.6 working at a LMM PE fund. Is it worth doing HBS 2+2? Ideally I'd consider breaking into a UMM / MF position but imagine that headhunting / OCR would be more scarce at a PE fund so figured the MBA would make it easier to recruit, also given the absurd opportunity cost of B-School I would figure to do it earlier with a low salary. Curious on other's thoughts.

You already laid out all the factors, so I’ll say worth it if you really do want to move ASAP. Otherwise not necessary. Think of it this way: you already know the opportunity cost is lower earlier on when salary is lower. On top of that, by the time your salary is higher, you probably 1) don’t really have a reason to move 2)have other better alternatives to move to a bigger fund, former client, performances, deals you work on, connections.
