Is it worth it?
I am going to work at a top MM bank, think Baird/WB/HL/Jef, and either want to go into late-stage growth (ideally 50/50 sourcing to execution) or stay in banking (or maybe get really lucky and go to a prop trading shop. Is it even worth it to try and get a top MBA, or do I not need one? And if so, would it be even possible to land M7 from a top MM + semi-target + 3.8-9 ?

You can definitely land at an M7 with that profile. Obviously the other factors matter, but lots of MM bankers/PE guys at Booth / Kellogg etc.
Gotcha, thank you for the help. Do you think the mba would be necessary to get into a firm like insight? Sloan MBA has been my dream but the feasability and usefulness of getting the degree/trying to get accepted is what is throwing me off.
