AF officer seems the most interesting by far. I'd do AFROTC, so 2-3 years of UG would be free. I'd work for ~4 years then go to B-School (Which, considering the money saved from UG and the GI Bill, could be extremely cheap). My only concern is that my work experience wouldn't be good enough for adcoms at top schools. I've received mixed ideas from different sources online. Any clarifications?

Thanks for the feedback. I've also heard that adcoms like military guys better if they have quant backgrounds. Would adcoms look more favourably on a CS major with like a 3.5 or a Chinese major with roughly a 3.7? I'm leaning towards going the CS route..

OP seems way too benefits oriented about joining the military for four years (plus ROTC). Do you actually want to be in Air Force? Or do you just like the idea of free tuition now and later, plus a nice sounding gig for b-school? I obviously think it's great if you want to join the AF, but I just don't think of it as the right thing to do just because of the financial benefits.

Sorry for being unclear. I find the actual work to be very interesting and have a genuine desire to serve my country. The benefits are just contributing factors which, looking back, took up most of my post, so I definitely see where you were coming from.

as he said....don't join the military based on where you think it will leave you when you are out. that. if you have a genuine interest and want to serve go ahead.

you mention the work in the air force is interesting to you...what do you mean by this? Just want to get an idea of what you think daily life will be like and what you want to do in the USAF

This is getting rather off-topic, but I have researched several AF careers online and have spoken briefly with a few family friends who were/are AF/Army officers and from what I can tell, the AF would be a good fit for me. As for the daily life, I've heard it is completely contingent upon your job. That said, I won't know what the lifestyle will really be like until I actually begin.

Specifically, I'd like being an ABM (http://www.afrotc.com/careers/opportunities/detail?career=air-battle-ma…) or anything CS related like this (http://www.afrotc.com/careers/opportunities/detail?career=cyberspace-op…).
