Jobs during College

I'm about to go to college and study finance. Does anyone know any jobs to do during college that look good on IB application later. I'd like to be making money and not dig too deep into my savings(my parents aren't paying for my stuff). I've been looking at somewhat finance related jobs such as a back teller and administrative assistant. Does having a regular retail job look bad on IB apps?

I don’t think there are many finance jobs directly that would show “good” experience (that will pay you, etc). What I would do instead is take jobs that show your ability to handle responsibility/ be a grown up and will pay reasonably. One that comes to mind is being a resident assistant/monitor. At some universities these cover a lot of costs (room, board, stipend). Another option is a tutor (shows you can master a topic and also teach it back to people). I’d probably focus on those vs trying a retail bank job. The university jobs will be more understanding of your schedule and be looking to hire students.
