Late for School Interview

A few days ago I had a webcam interview scheduled with an MS Finance program. My plan was to leave my house an hour and a half before my interview to make my thirty minute commute to my current office.

Turns out, traffic would be the worst I have EVER seen on this day. I attempted to audible to the nearest wifi fast food restaurant to conduct my interview, but it turned out to be drive through only.

The interviewer called just after our scheduled interview time to ask if everything was okay, I explained the situation and that I had left the house with forty-five minutes of buffer time.

He/she stated that everything is fine and that we can reschedule. I have not heard back from them about the rescheduling. What do you all think--- am I done for?

Ah man, had this exact same thing happen to me back in the day when i had an internship abroad interview.

Ended up losing the opportunity but missing that call completely changed the trajectory of my career for the better.

Hope they can reschedule you, but after what happened to me my advice is to trust fate a little bit.

It was a school, not an employer. I am in IB, so I would expect any employer to auto ding me, however I feel that schools are a bit more forgiving. I may be wrong, which is why I am asking for a reality check.

Idk if the adcomm was being nice or if he/she seriously will give me a second chance. The interview was the first slot for the day (think 7-9am) so I hope I will get some lea-way.
