Latest age to apply for an MBA and go into IB (realistic)

Hey everyone,

Sparing you the details, I am a 30 year old looking at MBA programs. I think I could get into an M7 or at least a top 10 MBA program. I'd only want to do this if I could get an IB associate level summer internship at a bulge bracket bank. For context, I have worked in transaction services with a specialization in valuation for years, and want to make a switch.

If I'm not already past the age, where its too late, when is it too late? I hear you need to be getting summer associate positions by your mid-30s, but if you could put a hard line in the sand for me that would help. I want to make the right decision and plan appropriately. If it's too late now, tell me. If I have 2 - 3 years left to get into a program, so I graduate by 35 or cutoff, tell me, and please be direct.

I know the hours are long - I work 80 hour weeks all the time and have plenty of IB friends. That's not an issue.

Thanks,
