Law student that hates law school - how to switch into business?

I'm one month into law school but I hate the classes so much that I want to drop out. I'd like to be working in some combination of finance / business / biotech.

Background

  • I chose history as my major in college because I was "good at reading / writing"

  • Decided to go to law school because I didn't know what else to do with my history degree + parental pressure to choose a "prestigious" career

  • I discovered my passion for finance and biotech my senior year of college, but I had already taken the LSAT + applied by that time

Current Situation

  • I absolutely loathe the law school curriculum. Law is at least 40-50 years behind current technology / trends. They even have a name for this concept - "stare decisis" or "everything has to remain the same forever because change is scary"

  • I'm high energy + a risk taker and law is suffocating to me.

  • I'm already zoning out in lecture, and daydreaming about working in finance or tech

Possible options

  1. Drop out of law school and get another bachelor's in finance. -- this seems like the least practical option

  2. Finish law school, do biglaw, then pivot into IB -- seems like the most feasible, but I don't know if I could stomach law for this long.

  3. Finish law school, work in-house at a company, then pivot into business -- not sure if lawyers can jump into business like this anymore

Final Notes

Yes, before you say anything, I am a dumb ass for getting into law school without knowing what it entails. I regret it every day. But I'd still like to find a way to get out of this mess.
