Left USC due to major, feeling a little regretful but optimistic

Basically just left usc after one semester as a sophomore transfer, after finding out that if I wanted to be a part of business program I would have to wait until the end of the spring semester of 2024, making it take longer to graduate and more tuition and thats if I gain admission. I spoke to many before the transfer and they told me that marshall (usc business school) is making there admissions even harder to get into. So, I thought it was best for me to leave and do this semester online at an accredited university keep my 4.0 gpa and try to transfer to a target school in the fall. Good idea?
