Letter of Support
Does anyone know which schools look favorably/unfavorably upon a brief email sent to admissions from an alum?
I have heard HBS/GSB does not like getting additional info, but I have heard CBS is often receptive. Not sure about Wharton/Booth/Kellogg/Sloan. Can any current/former applicants/students confirm?

According to this:
If a Chicago Booth alum offers to “put in a good word” for you, rather than act as one of your two recommenders, have him or her contact the admissions office directly for instructions on how to do that easily and quickly.
