London "Flagship" programs

Hi all!

I'm going to be applying for masters programs in london soon (with the goal of FO IBD), and I was just wondering what the most elite programs are? (in terms of recruitment, successful FO placements, and overall prestige).

For some schools who only have one well known program, such as Imperial and its MSc Finance, this is a no-brainer, but what about schools such as LSE and LBS?

How does the MSc Finance/MSc Finance & PE/MSc Finance & Econ/MSc Accounting & Finance rank at LSE, and more importantly, how does this compare with the prestige of the LBS MFA and their MiM? For example, would the MSc in Finance at LSE rank higher in prestige than the LBS MFA or would the MiM dominate the MSc Acc&Fin?

The fees at these schools are very high, and I want to make sure I get the best use of my money.

Thank you all in advance for any input!

Hi, for your target job LBS will be much better, as its Masters programs, as well as finance networking are higher than those at LSE

The MFA at LBS is a completely new programme and will be available as of next year - so no info about placements. However, I think the specific programme does not matter too much. Overall the LBS brand places quite well into FO IBD roles in London. Same goes for LSE I would assume. Choosing between LBS and LSE MSc Finance would be an extremely tough decision I think. Depending on your background, I would slightly lean towards LBS if community and school size matters you you.

Send me a PM if you want to have specific infos re LBS.
