MBA for Private Banking?

Hello friends,

I would like to ask al the minds out there for your advice.

First, the stats: As of right now i am working as a licensed banker. I have my 6, and life and annuities. i have 5 years of banking experience. My future goal is to be a Private Banker (possible focus on International clients, South America). Im with Chase now, so there is definitely opportunity to transition to JPM Private bank.

My question is what do you think would help me reach my goal in terms of Education. I know a Series 7 is necessary ( at least for JPM) but i have to be sponsored for that.

I am wanting to get a masters. Im not sure what would be better, MBA or MBA with specialization in Finance, MSF or some other Masters. Im also interested in going for my CFA.

Also is there really a big difference worth the cost of getting your degree from a big name university?

any thoughts that you think would help me reach my goal would be greatly appreciated

Thanks again
