I am an international/alien resident with H1B. I am considering going for an MBA even though I dont really need it in my job.
My reason is that my undergrad doesnt have brand recognition and I think it will pose problems for my career when I have to leave the US after my Visa ends. In that sense, I am thinking of getting an MBA for the 'prestige' so that I can actually have better opportunities career wise internationally when I have to look for work abroad.
Do you think this is a worthwhile endeavor for my purposes?
I would not recommend taking the financial hit for "prestige". That is a ridiculous idea.
Well but think about it from a future career growth perspective. Name recognition goes a long way in Asian/MENA markets. Wouldnt a brand name help my career?
