MBA online or weekend

Hello, I am in my fifth year within a company as a finance controller and I am thinking to get my MBA before I get older. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on the following questions:

  • Is it worth doing a weekend or online MBA?

  • Does it need to be from a top school? I noticed the high ranked ones are $50K and more

  • As a finance major with a bachelor degree, should I go for a general MBA or a specialized MBA?

Thank you

I want to get an opinion before I start a family.

Even though work is asking me to get one, but I want to be proactive and obtain one in case higher roles within the company or new opportunities arise so I can increase my chances of getting a job.
