MBA Required?

Hi All,

I am worried about upward mobility in high finance and corporate in general.

I am an absolute non-target (think middle of nowhere mid-west state university). However, I got top bucket first two years at a Mid-Tier BB and had my mid-year review few months ago in my UMM PE gig (track for senior associate promotion).

However, I wonder if I will hit a glass ceiling soon. Is an MBA required? I just do not understand why do people care about my school if I make them money, and I am extremely good at what I do.
