MBA University of Calgary any good?

Hi,

I’m planning on doing my MBA next year, I’ll be 28 years old. I would prefer to get into finance related jobs in the Oil & Gas industry. I know the economy is not doing very well in Alberta but I believe by the time I’m done the Oil industry there will be better.

I have an undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Economics and about two years experience in the Oil industry. I’m also starting a few E-Commerce businesses to obtain enough capital to start investing in real estate (not here in Canada).

What I like about the program is that it’s two years and I will be able to get some internships during the summer.

Not planning to come back to Toronto as I hate this city.

What do you folks here think about the program there? The alumni?

I also prefer Calgary as the program is really cheap compared to Ivey and Rotman. Ivey is also just 1 year.

Thank you! Would love to hear your opinions
