MBA vs. MFin - Which makes more sense?
I'm hitting my 2 years in IB in Europe (GS/MS/JPM) and for various reasons will be leaving my current firm.
I'm looking to go to the US in the short term / as my next move if possible, not necessarily in IB or banking (but still in finance or business) - I unfortunately cannot do so internally through my current bank.
I'm considering getting a degree in the US (1) for the visa since I'm not a US citizen and (2) build credentials given I have a European degree and limited network in the US.
Considering I only have 2 years of experience in banking and also factoring in the huge cost of an MBA, would it make more sense to get a MFin or some other type of Master's degree? Being from a continental Europe country, I already have a Master's degree in finance so I'm wondering if that would raise eyebrows. My only goal for a degree would be to position myself for a US job.
Thanks!
Read the first five words and already had an answer
MBA. Do not do an MSF
Is your answer based on the length of my work experience or the fact that I already worked in finance?
I was under the impression that most MBA applicants already have min 3-4 years of experience under their belt
