MIT Sloan Perception

Wanted to see if I could get everyone's thoughts / perceptions on MIT Sloan - I've been admit to the 2YR MBA program.

Of the MBA business schools">M7 schools, Sloan seems to be the least discussed on this forum. How do you all view the program? Hoping to better understand what those outside of the program think of it.

Top 5 MBA, MIT name is powerful across the globe, and the program draws elite recruiters. Known for Tech, Ops, and E-ship but places just as strongly (moreso, actually) in Consulting-and I doubt that students there interested in anything else have any issues. What more do you need? Congrats

The opinions on this board are really driven by 6-7 current MBA students that attend Kellogg, Booth, Tuck, and Columbia...which is why they are brought up a ton. Sloan is great in placements (probably the 4th best school after Wharton), but a bit socially awkward.

Currently a first year at Sloan. Cannot agree that we are "socially awkward" at all.

Feel free to PM me with any questions - happy to help out a prospective student!

I suppose the reason I ask about the limited discussion on this forum is because of the ranking / strength of the program. Would be awesome to get a current first year to post a re-cap of their first year at Sloan, similar to what's been posted for Tuck, Kellogg, Booth, etc.

Appreciate the congrats. I'm stoked to matriculate at Sloan this fall. Couldn't be more thrilled

Apply to everything, and see where you get in. All of these schools are "fine" for banking. Some are more geared towards banking or PE, but you shouldn't have any trouble breaking in from either of these schools.

I think- therefore I fuck
