Moving from RE Investments to Consulting (or potentially Grad School)
I'm currently a little over a year into my first full-time job at a RE Investment Firm as an acquisition analyst. I'm having some second-thoughts and overall uncertainty about if this is the industry I want to be in long-term. I'm interested in management consulting due to the generalist nature of it and getting exposure to a variety of industries/markets/business functions. Know the recruiting is pretty cut-throat so just started studying up on case prep and have been talking to people in my network who work in consulting to see if it'd be a good fit.
My question is: do you think its possible to break into consulting with my current real estate background? Or do you think it'd be worthwhile to look into a masters program to aid in that transition?
All advice is appreciated, thank you!
