Ms in the UK

Hey! Asking for the advice of the not indifferent once :)

Planning to apply to the top Finance Ms in the UK: Oxford, Imperial, LSE, LBS.

Currently, studying in the University of Amsterdam in my final year of Economics Bachelor degree, GPA 7.5 out of 10, which is equivalent to the second-upper class honours in the UK, had leadership position in the local investment club, did an internship in the lending department at the top Dutch bank. GMAT - 770.

I have everything (letters of recommendations, GMAT, motivational letters...) ready to apply for the Ms in  September/October, but I was thinking that I could improve my GPA to 8.0-8.3 so that I would qualify for the first class honours. Most of the schools state that the second-upper class honours is sufficient, but lots of candidates will have the first class honours, so I thought I could retake courses which will improve the grade to 8.0-8.3, but then I could only apply in December. Most universities use rolling admissions, so the time aspect seems important to me.

Basically, there is a trade-off question GPA-time, if it is worth to apply 4 months past the application opening for improving the GPA from the second-upper class honours to first class honours?

2.1 is below average at Oxford and is almost a no go (although GMAT might make up for it if quant score is high), but for the others you should be more than fine with a 770 GMAT
