MSc Finance - UCL or Kings

The title. I have both offers at the moment. which one should I take? MSc Finance at UCL or MSc (Corporate) Finance at Kings. I am more inclined towards UCL - feels like much more people place in the industry thank Kings. I know UCL is more markets oriented course, but does that make much of a difference if I want to go to Corp Fin? Thanks.

Based on the WSO threads and discussions, UCL's MSc Finance program is highly regarded, especially for those aiming for front office roles in investment banking in London. UCL is known for its strong placement in the finance industry, and its curriculum is well-tailored to prepare students for the financial markets, which can be beneficial even for those looking into corporate finance roles due to the analytical and quantitative skills gained.

On the other hand, King's College London offers a solid MSc in Corporate Finance, which might be more specialized towards your interest in corporate finance specifically. However, the general perception and feedback from the WSO community suggest that UCL might have a slight edge in terms of overall prestige and industry connections within the finance sector.

Given your inclination towards UCL and its strong placement record, it seems like a suitable choice, especially if you value the broader market perspective it offers, which can be advantageous in various finance roles, including corporate finance.

Bayes Business School, formerly known as Cass Business School, distinguishes itself significantly from other prestigious institutions like UCL and King’s College London through its unique blend of academic rigor, practical industry engagement, and its prime location in the heart of London's financial district. The school offers a curriculum that is deeply infused with real-world business practices, primarily due to its close proximity to and partnerships with leading financial firms and global corporations. This not only enriches the learning experience with guest lectures and insider insights but also provides unparalleled internship and employment opportunities directly linked to the curriculum. Moreover, Bayes’ focus on business and management studies allows for a specialized, in-depth approach to these fields, giving students a targeted and highly relevant education in their chosen career paths. In contrast, while UCL and King’s College offer excellent programs across a variety of disciplines, they do not match Bayes' concentrated expertise in business education or its strategic alliances with the corporate world. Additionally, Bayes Business School’s strong emphasis on leadership development, innovative entrepreneurial projects, and a personalized career service further tailor students’ educational journeys to their professional goals, setting them apart in a competitive global job market. These factors collectively make Bayes Business School a more advantageous choice for students seeking a cutting-edge business education, directly connected to the pulse of global commerce.

One person doesn't represent the full cohort though. good for him, still.

Think someone from bayes got Oppenheimer , I would say quite decent. I go Warwick and no one even got an IB SA/OC lol.

just wondering, what course do you do at warwick? MSc or BSc (and what) if you don't mind me asking

i heard that Warwick's full of future nonces - you probably won't get that at bayes (formerly CASS) or UCL, or even King's
