MSF Advice needed

Current non target senior, interned at a good bank this summer but unfortunately didn’t receive a return offer. I am attempting to recruit full time but the market isn’t the best so not many spots are open.

I am considering applying to a MSF Program to enhance my chances of breaking into IB full time. The way i am looking at it is by the time I am a MSF student, the market should be in a better spot so I have that plus the added benefit of a better degree helping me to recruit for analyst spots.

i have a few questions:

1. Are these programs worth it?
2. what are the top schools?

3. Where do people generally place (ex: BB IB, MF PE, etc) / is PE possible from certain MSF programs too?

thank you for the help in advance.

MSFs are what you make of them. Its basically an extension of undergrad. If you grind, its worth it.

If you use it to network, get a better brand on your resume, do internships during the year, etc then you’ll be fine. Unfortunately, a lot of people think coasting through an MSF will guarantee them an IB associate or PE offer. Thats not how it works

There are more detailed discussions on this site about the best programs and I wont have a better answer for you. Depends on where you go but a good MSF program will give you a pretty good shot at MM IB
