MSF In US ???
Hi, My name is Raghav and i am from India, i am presently working with a reputed bank for the past 2 and half years. I recently took GRE to apply for MSF in the US and screwed up badly. Got 303 (V 148 and Q 158) although in my mock tests i was getting between 315-320. Anyways, I have shortlisted a few universities in the east coast area of US and some of the names that are really good are :
1. Bentley ( the dates have passed, so cant apply)
2. Brandeis ( Good as there is a specialization in corporate finance, which i am really looking forward to)
3. UMas Boston.
4. SUNY, Buffalo
I am at this juncture a bit confused, on whether i should apply in these universities or re-take the exam and get into a good university, so that i get a good ROI (return on investment).
Also, a list of university wherein i could apply into universities with these scores !
Please help !!!
Hi, I think all the school you listed are at same tier-II level schools. If I have to chose from any of these assuming, I do not have the option to retake GRE/GMAT, then I would just compare my investment for each program. DO u have scholarship/grant etc ?
What is your undergraduate degree and GPA? I would probably retake the exam, sounds like you know you can do better?
No Scholarships or grants, but got into SUNY Buffalo only. Had applied into various universities after a lot of considerations and have got into this one only till now. My undergrad GPA is very low but my MBA GPA was decent enough, maybe because of that i got considered for the program. But the networking is important which i feel would land me with good placements.
Thank you for your help... WSO rocks !!
I think we can offer general ideas, but words from program alums would count much more.
I attend suny buffalo for ug.The program and school is a total joke. Where are people hearing about it from? Do not go here unless your highest aspiration is back-office Citi at a regional branch
Seems like you're going backwards trying to get into an MSF after you've done an MBA
