Newbie here looking for advice on Business school.
Hey everyone
Little background on me: I just got back to cornell to finish my undergrad after i took a gap year in 2013. I founded a startup company in my sophomore year (2012) and we had a fairly successful series A funding. My ideology and vision on the company was growing apart from my partners' and eventually i decided to quit and my shares were bought back.
I have less than 2 semesters worth of credits left and i majored in Liberal arts. I have never taken any b school course before and i figure it's going to cost a lots of time and money which are so valuable to me at the moment ,so i took 3 weeks in May studied for CFA LV1 and passed it.
I been doing good in school since i return but my GPA for the first 5 years is in mid 2s, and i was put on academic probation once.
I don't have any notable work experience outside my startup which now failed anyway.
So what do you guys think? Should i take the GMAT and apply for MBA? what are my chances of getting in top10 school? I am pretty good with exam so i think getting 740+ is expected.
I also heard that some MSF program is really good, is there any worthy one that you guys can recommend?
Or should i start looking for a job in the finance field? how s my chances?
Appreciate any feedback!
