Non-target undergrad, to target Masters.

Hi folks,

New to WSO, I’ve found some very insightful threads so far.

I graduated from a non-target Scottish University and I’m looking to go into M&A in the long run.

I’ve had offers from non target unis for MSc Finance, but I’ve learned that this is going to hinder me.

I’m going to take the GMAT and apply for some semi targets (imperial, Warwick, Manchester). Would you also recommend doing CFA L1 to add weight to the application? I’m also doing a lot of self-study on the financial modelling side and M&A accounting.

Any thoughts on this is appreciated, thanks!
