Non-traditional premed turning to business school
Upon graduating with a molecular/cell bio degree, I pursued a number of activities and employment that you would expect from a typical recent grad hoping to get into medical school. This included lab research, internship at a medical group, and 2 years at the Veterans Affairs (working on health informatics and substance abuse research projects, and program improvement initiatives). However, after two unsuccessful medical school applications, I have decided to act upon my interest in entrepreneurship or management in the healthcare industry. An MBA seems to be the next logical step for me, and while business schools emphasize a diverse student body, I'm not sure whether I can be a strong applicant with my particular work experiences, academic background, etc. Considering that I am already 25, should I apply now or seek further entry level employment that will give me a fundamental business background?
