I was able to attend an MSF information session and was invited to sit in on a class as well. Everyone in the program—from current students to admissions staff—has been very welcoming in terms of fielding questions and sharing their perspectives. I think the admissions staff members work hard to create a transparent application process by being open to connecting you with alumni to learn more about how the MSF has impacted their careers. Merit aid and institutional scholarships are also a plus.
The Notre Dame alumni network in Chicago is second-to-none in the city in terms of brand loyalty and willingness to help each other out so that's a substantial advantage of the program. Regarding OCR, I think that many students in the program are aiming to grow at their current employers but there are some who are open to considering other opportunities. I know that Mendoza holds a variety of networking events to connect MSF and MBA students to the local ND community. I get the impression that the ND MSF will continue to secure its position as a top (if not the top) Chicago MSF program, especially in terms of the brand, network, and academics.
wow, impressive marketing garbage, just a bit overdone? how you plug MSFs with South Bend based MBAs, who barely can get themselves hired, is beyond me.
Haha I'm just speaking from my experience visiting the program.
My perspective is also based on the Chicago market of MSF programs: Loyola, UIC, IIT, and DePaul, all of which don't necessarily hold the same national reputation as Notre Dame. Compared to these local competitors, ND is definitely the front-runner. The part-time program is geared for actively employed people in and around Chicago so naturally networking skews to MBAs/grads in the city.

1) ND network in Chicago is huge. 2) The Chicago MSF program is ideal for PT students and you'll still get a ND campus experience as they have a two week practicum on the on site. 3) PT nature - this program is really ideal for those who want to continue working while getting their masters.
IMO, I would almost say this is an MBA substitute for people who want to stay in the finance industry and are looking for great brand and focused education. Program has been going on for a while as well so you'll have actual ND MSF alumni.
