I'm in the Part-Time MBA program right now, I started in January.

You have a few options:

- Mondays and Wednesdays

- Tuesdays and Thursdays

- Saturdays

- Online

- Accelerated (pretty much class everyday)

After you finish all the core classes, which is typically the first year, you can change your schedule a bit and do Mondays/Tuesdays, or Wednesdays/Thursdays, etc.

I am in the Monday/Wednesday cohort and classes are from 6pm - 9pm. Classes are obviously in the business school unless you are in the online cohort.

So, you need to be in class in person twice a week from 6pm to 9pm. After the second class of the week, we always go out for drinks somewhere in Greenwich Village. The best part about being in this program is going out and meeting people and going to all the events. There are people who live in New Jersey who commute to class and people in Connecticut who commute to class.

The Saturday cohort only meets on Saturdays in person. Their classes are from 9am to 4pm though.

If you are nowhere near NYC and can't make it to class in person, then you would have to do the online option. I think this is a huge waste of money. If you can't make it to the events and make meaningful relationships with people in your cohort, then consider doing an MBA program closer to where you live. The best part about the part-time program is the people you'll meet.

Thanks for the information. I just got accepted for this January. I live in Maryland and was accepted into stern and John’s Hopkins so I’m weighing which is the better choice. I planned to do the Saturday classes once my core classes were done or do the week in person classes if i go to stern. Jhu is closer but I’m thinking stern would be the better option if i plan it right

You can start the program online and then switch to in-person later on. Not sure how you would manage that commute every week though. Carey is a great business school, too. I would really just recommend doing the program only if you can be a part of the broader community. The whole benefit of an MBA is the experience and networking with people. Everything you learn in class you can find online for free. A solely online MBA is really a waste.

That makes sense. Im thinking i could switch to Saturday classes or the 4 weeks online 1 week in person after i do my core classes. That way i can plan to actually be there and network.

I believe even if you choose to do online to start, you'll need to come in January to do the orientation in person. If you choose to come, reach out when you get here. Would be happy to chat more. Overall, the part-time program has been a great experience. I've never been busier in my life, but it's certainly been worth it for me.

Yea i have to go there for the orientation. That would be great i appreciate you. I’m glad it’s been a great experience so far. What do you like most about it right now?
