PE experience for MBA

Hello everyone, I am looking for some advice to break into an M7 MBA

Little bit of background:

-Latin american, graduated from a top university in my country. GPA around the 95th percentile. -CFA Level I passed -7 months FT experience in Big 4 TAS (Corporate Finance) -Currently working for a small PE fund with around $1b AUM. The partners from the fund are originally from my home country although they are now based in the Miami. I work at the LATAM office though.

My ultimate goal is to do an MBA in the United States. My main concern is how relevant my experience would be to admission officers in these schools.

As I understand, PE experience is very valuable for admissions but my concern is the size of the fund and the deals I will be participating in. (So far the largest acquisition was for $140m). Are these numbers small for middle market?

My goal is to have the relevant experience that M7 schools require. Do you think I might be able to achieve that in my current position?

Thanks!
