Picking classes to break into High Finance
I go to a Canadian university (Semi-target business degree) with a 3.9 GPA going into my third year. Should I be taking CS and math courses? Or should I focus on taking whatever gets me the best GPA for pursuing Investment banking.
My reasoning for considering CS and math courses is in case I change my mind and want to pursue something like S&T or for the benefit of knowing math and programming helping me stand out.
Thanks
Accounting. Accounting. Accounting.
It’s the one thing I wish I paid attention to during college. I had to go back and refresh/relearn many of the concepts I paid tuition to learn instead of being proficient from the get go.
Take the easiest classes. Rarely (like less than 1% chance) does an IB comb through the transcript before giving you an offer. They usually care more about your exp. outside of classes.
