Post MBA chances of breaking into PE/Hybrid/SS

Hi everyone! I'm applying to H/W/C MBA this year and I just wanted to have some thoughts re my post mba alternatives and possibilities.

My background is International (LatAm, non US citizen) | Corp. Strategy -> BB FIG -> M&A at a large Single F. Office | My goal is to end up doing MM PE/Hybrid/Distressed seats, no matter if immediately post-mba (close to imposible I know..) or down the road after a couple years doing IB at BB/EB.

Any colour you can provide towards the achievability of such goals would help me tremendously calibrate them! Thanks a lot.

*I've been told also that doing a 3month pre-mba internship at MBB in my country could boost my probabilities, any colour re that would also help a lot!

Thanks for the reply!

(i) It really doesn't matter. But I guess the most competitive roles and overall optionality exist in the usual metropolis? (NY, London, SF, Chicago, Madrid, etc) So I would target those if possible

(ii) All roles in my native country. Maybe its irrelevant but despite that, I've mainly covered LatAm (and not my locality) both at the SFO and in the FIG analyst stint (team mainly NY based)
