Post-MBA IBD Associate recruiting at B schools that are less than 2 years

Sup,

I understand that "career switchers" who want to come in as an ibanking associate will most likely summer at a bank in between years at bschool and then get an FT offer. But how does this work for schools like IMD or INSEAD where they don't have a full 2 years?

I know that most schools like these have students that are getting a guaranteed return spot at their companies post graduation (MBB-INSEAD-MBB, etc) but how would IBD recruiting work? Obviously the two schools I mentioned are quite preftigious but without that summer, how would you get a piece of IB recruiting?

Anyone take this route or have friends that did?

Based on a couple of friends who are in INSEAD, they say for those who start in the fall (no summer to intern) it is very tough to get a FT spot in IBD or PE as a career changer. Most of those who get in have previous IB experience or are sponsored. If you are a career changer, just wait till Jan to get the internship

btw short, could you talk some more about BOOTH recruiting. How is that going for MBB and buyside. I remember you saying at some point you wanted to go the MBB route then switched to investment management. How is that going?
