Prohibition of Finance posts during MBA internship and Secondments at MBB
I've recently learned that MBB firms are forbidding MBA sponsored candidates, as well as BA's going on their secondment into another company, to enter finance-related positions during those periods of time. Apparently, this move comes as a reaction to a high number of consultants pivoting into High Finance thanks to these kind of moves.
How are management consultants navigating this restriction to keep their finance exit ops open in the future (VC, PE, IB, Rx, etc.) ?
