Rate my profile: Odds for M7 and T15 MBAs

Hello All,

I hope you are doing well on this beautiful Tuesday. Long lurker on this forum, I have decided to finally participate as I would like to have opinions on my chances for acceptance into  M7/T15 MBAs.

Background:

Non-native English speaker coming from Western Europe (white male). Got a double Master’s degree from a top 15 university and a top 4 business school in my country. Don’t know how my results translate into GPA but they are not fantastic excepting those in BSch.

Work experience:

Currently a second year investment analyst at a top developer which opened its first office in my country when I joined 2y ago (think Hines, Related, Greystar…). I have been part of a great entrepreneurial adventure, including a successful fundraising of c.€1bn. I have been heavily involved in the first fundraising process and still involved on a second potential JV. I also work on real estate acquisitions (close 2 deals so far, c.€160m), due diligence process and so on. I benefit from a strong exposure to senior management and capital partners.

My plan is to gain more experience, become an early associate and then apply to top US MBAs. I would like to transition into IB as I like what I’m doing on a daily basis but I want to work for a BB in their Real Estate division. I’m feeling too close from assets and would rather like work on M&A, IPOs and capital raising operations. I enjoy the complexity of financial deals and the advisory aspect.

GMAT not taken yet but I’m planning to obtain a 700+ score (let’s say 720/730 as a friend with same academic background got that score).

 Extracurricular:

I have done some volunteer work such as formatting of Business Plan and help in debt raising for an African entrepreneur (€200k). On a monthly basis, I’m involved in ULI (Urban Land Institute) on problematics such as affordable housing. I’m also a member of a business network, with whom we invited business, politics and arts personalities to exchange on various topics.

Thanks for any advice.
