Schools Similar to Williams

I’m building my college list and my dream school is Williams College. I like Williams because it’s alumni network is unmatched. In my opinion it’s better than the ivies. Are there any other schools that are not necessarily targets because of their size, but they have strong alumni networks within big banks.

Google doesn’t work in banking. I did all the googling in the world before talking to a banker. I didn’t know about Williams until talking to that banker. Williams places the best out of all the nescacs by far. So I was wondering if there are any other colleges that I don’t know about like Williams.

NESCACs, potentially Davidson if you are fine with ending up at BofA or Wells (CLT hq so target for those banks, non-target for rest). Washington & Lee is another option, semi or non-target most places, but an alright showing at banks. Outside of Williams or Amherst I'd say these are probably the best options for great-not-fantastic schools that can place in banking (assuming you want lib arts).

I’m not necessarily set on liberal arts. From who I’ve talked to and what I’ve seen on LinkedIn Williams has a very strong presence on wall street and one of the strongest alumni networks. And almost everyone from Williams is willing to help and talk to me. Williams is like an Ivy League with a way stronger alumni network. But what other schools should I add? I’ve yet to find one that I like more than williams.

I mean it wouldn't hurt to apply to all the ivies. From personal experience Davidson has a strong network, I've had a 100% hit rate with networking calls within the network and IK ivy networks aren't always that great. Only issue is it only has name recognition at WF and BofA like I mentioned. Rice has a solid network and places great in Houston, A&M Mays School of Business honors has probably the most loyal alumni base I've ever been seen, but once again primarily Texas. For NYC banking I can't be a ton of help, never really focused on it. Perhaps check out Pomona in Cali as well.

Dartmouth and Princeton are bigger but also have fantastic alumni networks. But yes Williams is an ultra-elite school.

To echo what’s above—Williams is similar to Amherst, Bowdoin, and Middlebury for schools in the same conference. NESCACs have very strong alumni placements and—at least at my school—they will bat hard for you. The schools differ in terms of the experience you’ll get at each, but you can’t go wrong with any of them for IB placement.
