"Study in Bocconi, find a job outside of Italy?" (International Placement of European Business Schools)

Hi,

I am considering doing a Master outside of my home country. However, some people on WSO seem to say that getting a Master from Bocconi, Saint Gallen, ESADE and looking for jobs outside of thoses countries is difficult. Is that true? If I plan to go to London, does it make it more worthwhile?

Best,

Just to be precise. Part of the argument of some people is that IB recruit people from Bocconi to staff their Southern European Desk so they expect them to speak italian, which is not my case.

Also, have been taken in the Master of Corporate Finance at SDA Bocconi (http://www.sdabocconi.it/en/specialized-master-full-time-executive/mcf) so it is not the Master of Finance of Bocconi University where probably most analyst come from.

Is there a meaningful difference in terms of recruitment of Bocconi Students between London and regional offices like Paris or Geneva?

Thanks for your answers!

I have no idea about the difference between those programs, but as far as I know Italian language knowledge was not a requirement for most of these guys and they didn't mention needing it for their day-to-day jobs. Honestly, having the Bocconi name on your resume will probably put you in a good place to start networking, and you will have quite a few OCR opportunities so I wouldn't be worried about these problems.
