Summer Housing - NYU vs New School

Interning at GS this summer. Offer came a bit late - so didn't have a chance to apply for NYU housing right after application opened. If I apply now, what are my odds of getting a room (preferably with AC)? And it also takes a while for them to get back with results, is it worth the wait?
The other option is New School - there seems to be little info about it, any experiences?
(Sorry if this topic came up before, just trying to figure out the best option. Thanks!)

FYI - for those still interested, it looks like NYU has no more single rooms left, while New School still may have some (large singles in Stuy Park residence) - I managed to register for the latter option yesterday. The advantage of New School is that you get a confirmation right away if there's space and don't need to wait 4-6 weeks as with NYU; then again I still need to get my room assignment (which I guess will happen later).

Yeah, the "large single". I couldn't find much info about it online, hopefully turns out ok. Btw you can check if there's still any rooms left by filling out their online application and then going to check out (before you put in the card info) - if there are no more rooms left, the system will tell you that.

Just an update for those who may be considering staying in New School Stuy Park large single in future years - turned out to be a really good choice. New building, secure, new kitchen, pretty new bathroom and a large room with lots of closet space that I had to myself. 2 bathrooms for 3 people. Only downside - the kitchen has no stove (just a stove top). And location is great.
