I'm an economics major at Syracuse, the Whitman school has really good programs like trips down to NYC to network with IB and accounting firms. Is it a semi-target? Definitely not, it does well regionally from what I've seen but not anything compared to Fordham. Fordham has the advantage of being in NYC so I'm guessing it places much better.

Best advice if you're considering Syracuse and want to place in IB, you need a high gpa, extracurriculars like clubs or greek life and take part in either the SU Investment Club or if you get into Whitman the Orange Value Fund. Both are great experiences. They also have a small business consulting group you might be interested in. Biggest downside besides not being a target is the price tag, you may be better off somewhere else.
