Tech vs Finance for M7

Does anyone have statistics for what proportion of M7 applicants are software engineers vs IB/PE/VC? I know that ~50% of M7 students come from some type of business/finance background, but I would assume that is because b-school is a natural 'next step' for those roles.

Would it be easier to get into a top business school from a tech background because there are fewer tech applicants as a whole? I do know that each school tries to have a diverse student body, so someone from finance might be competing with a great number of finance people for spots, whereas someone from tech might only be competing with a smaller number of tech people?
