Thoughts on ESADE MiF

What are your thoughts on ESADE's Master in Finance?
My aim would be to break into IB in London after the degree, regardless if BB or EB.
How does it fair in terms of placement vs LSE/LBS and vs. Bocconi/Saint Gallen? Is there a significant and noticeable difference?
ESADE's placement in London is really weak. If you want to work in Spain, it's a good option; otherwise it is not a good idea.
If you want to work in London, the obvious top choices should be LBS and LSE. Besides those, the best option is Bocconi. St Gallen is a very prestigius school but most of their graduates work in Switzerland and Germany, its network in London is not that strong.
Why is it really weak? Lack of corporate interaction? Does it make me a tier 2 candidate?
Is working in Spain viable with limited working proficiency Spanish (having done the MSc there)?
Well I don't know exactly why, but I think that a logical explanation could be the following:
ESADE MiF entry requirements are way lower than those of all the other universities mentioned here. To be confident when applying to LBS, LSE, Bocconi, St Gallen or HEC you need a +700 (ideally 720 or more) GMAT score, a very high GPA, and in general you have to be a well rounded candidate (ECs, work experience -mainly valued by LBS and HEC-, volunteering, awards...), while ESADE standards are lower. Thus, the level of EASDE students, at least measured with those parameters, is probably lower than that of the students from top universities. This lower level is reflected during recruiting processes, and HRs notice that. ESADE candidates are not as well regarded as candidates from other unis, so that is the first problem. The second problem is that, as a consequence, alumni network is weak. LBS and LSE are for sure in another level, but Bocconi and HEC a very strong presence in London too. If you take a look at Linkedin, you can see that ESADE has 1.043 alumni in London (compared to 4.933 from Bocconi and 2.412 from HEC). From that alumni network, very few are working at BBs. Look at those numbers:
ESADE alumni in London: 12 JPM, 11 GS, 11 MS, 9 UBS Bocconi alumni in London: 141 GS, 108 JPM, 70 CITI, 70 MS, 68 BoA.... HEC alumni in London: 68 GS, 49 MS, 47 JPM, 36 HSBC, 28 CITI....
It is not even close. The difference is enormous. If you want to work in Spain, for sure it is a good option; however, it is quite unlikely that you can get any offer without Spanish, given that all the deal-flow is local.
If you want to work in London, try to get into LBS, LSE, Bocconi or HEC. LBS and LSE for sure have the edge there, but you will have no problem if you come from Bocconi or HEC, they are very well regarded and the city is full of their alumni.
Esade may be worth if you wanna work in Spain. The percentage of the class that ends up in London IB is quite small. If you are set on London IB, then LBS/LSE are the top choices, with Bocconi and Imperial slightly below. HEC is also a top school with good London placement.
Do you think that the school limits your opps in London? Or do you think that most of the students are spanish and thus stay in Spain?
No, although for the same money there are either schools with better London placement (Bocconi or Saint Gallen) or schools with similar London placement but lower fees (SSE or RSM). Therefore, imho Esade and IE are only worth if you are Spaniard.
Not an expert, but ive seen more of its undergrads than grads in London. Not sure if a coincidence or its something related to its class size
