Incredible, Top 5 Public University,and getting better each year. Often referred to (kind of cringey) as a Public Ivy.

Placement is consistently high, usually top 10-12 in placement rank, year over year, with top IBs and asset managers.

High representation across all financial fields VC, PE, Infrastructure, Energy, Corp Fin, IB, and Asset Management.

McCooooombs Business School is a Top 5-10 undergraduate school and Top 15-20 Graduate Business School nationally, but has much more pull in State.

If you plan to stay and work in Texas

UT-Austin carries a lot of weight, with top employers.

Texas is the fastest growing state in the Country with the 2nd highest GDP and 2nd largest Population, but one of the lowest cost of living.

Austin usually shows up each year on best places to live and work.
