Tips on a Junior Transferring into Spring 2026 for better school.

Hello,

I'm a junior who's currently attending a non-target school target(with little to no support from my school and no alumni connections) and was accepted into Baruch/Zicklin for Spring 2026.

I'm not sure what the consensus is on Baruch is for this forum, but from reading through, it seems to be a semi-target. It's a much better school than my current situation, and I was encouraged to transfer there from people I networked with who are in the industry, as well as my professors and advisor from my current school.

I am already planning on taking an extra semester to recruit and join the relevant clubs that I can still join, and of course,e doing the coffee chats, attending O, CR, and keeping my grades up.

Seeking any advice for getting an internship for SA 2026 or SA 2027. Am I too late, even for the MM or LMM banks like CA-IB or Natixis? Should I take even more time to graduate? I struck out on recruiting at my current situation and haven't gotten an interview. I figured even if I don't get an internship at Baruch, I would feel a lot confident applying for entry-level ops positions.

Thanks
