Transfer Admitted to Columbia or Penn CAS

Leaning towards Penn for social reasons but wondering whether this is the wrong choice for my career.

What is the reality of recruiting for IB in Penn CAS in today’s world? I understand pre-professional, but is the culture overwhelmingly competitive? Been hearing so many different things about Wharton vs CAS recruiting. Need a truly unbiased perspective.

Or does Columbia College recruiting for IB just blow Penn CAS out of the water?

Probably similar outcomes at both, but have heard Penn CAS gets overshadowed by Wharton in recruiting. So many Wharton resumes make banks hesitant to take what they assume is "lesser" talent when faced with ample supply. Personally, I would recommend you go to Columbia for 1. proximity to NYC and 2. an even playing field. Otherwise, both can take you far if you're competent.

Former Wharton undergrad with a lot friends from CAS who ended up in IB. Go with Penn, for sure.

Don’t worry about the Wharton/CAS stuff - just get in, get your name out/grades up/join the clubs and you’re solid.

Am sure Columbia’s good but Penn from a pre-professional development + social perspective is absolutely amazing (though I am biased).

Best of luck either way. Good job on the transfer outcomes, you should be super proud!
