Transfer JMSB -> McGill

Hey everyone, I've been stuyding at the John Molson School of Business for a year, and I'm thinking of transferring to McGill in Winter 2016. I've been satisfied with JMSB, but I've become very interested by a career in management consulting and I'm well aware that McGill offers much better recruitment opportunities.

My GPA is above the rumoured cut-off rate of 3.7 and I'm not especially worried about getting in. I do however have some concerns, so if anyone has any input/advice/experience, please share by all means!

1) Does a transfer during my undergrad look bad on my résumé? 2) Does anyone know about transfer credits? I've taken only introductory classes and the curriculums of the two schools are quite similar. I have yet to contact their Admissions/Academic Advising offices, but if anyone's informed please share. 3) Would transferring mid-undergrad affect my ability to join and gain responsibilities in extracurriculars and clubs?

Thanks!
