Transferring to target after junior year (current junior)
I'm currently a junior at a non-target state business school (think UMD Smith, OSU Fisher, PSU Smeal, etc.). Finance major with a Cum. GPA 3.475, Major GPA 3.9. I really slacked off the first semester my freshman year and it's killing my GPA, but got a 4.0 last semester and dean's list two semesters before.
I want to get into IB in the end but I'm having trouble getting interviews anywhere, so I'm considering transferring to a target or semi-target like NYU Stern, Georgetown, UVA. I'd have to do any extra semester/year and I'm totally fine with it. Do you guys think I should try to transfer? Do I have a chance of getting into any of the aforementioned schools, or should I just keep on grinding where I'm at and hope to land something down the line?
