UBC Sauder breakout

I know people on here have said before that Sauder isn't nearly as much as a target as schools back east, but I'll be attending as unfortunately it was the only school I was accepted into. If I want to break into IB, is PMF or transferring to Ivey after 2nd year really my only option, or are there other possible ways I can get it done?

Definitely possible to get into IB from Sauder, but you will really only be competing for the Big 5 banks, and often only their Vancouver / Calgary offices. It will be a stretch to get Toronto (you'll really have to network like a madman) and you can kiss IB NYC or PE Analyst positions goodbye unless you are PMF.

Thanks, I guess I'm going to have to grind hard then. I'll try to get PMF even though my chances are probably going to be low. And maybe look to transfer to Ivey if my grades are high enough after 2nd year.
