UG Degree and IB B.Com or B. Sc

I'm a Canadian high school senior and have gotton admissions from UBC and McGill University. Both of these admission are in B.Com and B.Sc . I realize that both of those schools are considered non-target and from what I have heard, the placements from those schools into BB banks are considerably low compared to counterpart universities in the States. At this point, I have no option but to go to either of the two universities and I am put into a deep dillema to figure out which degree I should choose to pursue in what University.

So here are my questions:

How much emphasis do BB banks place on the type of degree taken? Are B.Com degrees frowned upon because they are not "traditional"? Will B. Sc in Mathematics (joint/minor Economics?) provide me with the best chances and preparation?

they are both bachelor's degrees. (bachelor "of" doesn't matter so much) now what are the majors/concentrations? one is in business and the other is in mathematics? is that what you are saying?
